National University company donates clothes to show love and warmth

On the morning of November 13th, the staff auditorium of GuoDa Company was bustling with activity. Cadres and staff members brought bags of clothing to donate. More than 20 volunteers, wearing small red hats, were busy sorting, folding, and packing the donated clothing. Everyone contributed their love through practical actions.

Winter is approaching, and temperatures are dropping. To help people in impoverished areas and rural communities overcome their difficulties and ensure they have a warm winter, GuoDa Company initiated a clothing donation drive, calling on all cadres and staff to donate a piece of clothing, offering a bit of love and warmth.

“Let's let unused clothes continue to serve their purpose. Let's work together to warm those far away with the love of GuoDa people!” After the call for donations was issued, the company's employees actively responded. Party members and cadres led the way in showing their love, and everyone brought their unused cotton-padded clothes, trousers, shoes, hats, scarves, and other warm clothing, cleaned and folded, to the donation site.

Cotton coats, down jackets, cashmere sweaters, jeans… Bags of warm clothing piled up into small mountains, and more kept arriving. “Our workshop donated a total of 223 cotton-padded clothes and trousers this time. At least 80% of these clothes are in good condition; some are new and unworn. Everyone hopes to contribute and help those in need through this donation activity,” said Wen Shaoyan, a statistician from the Gold Smelting Three Company, to the staff responsible for receiving and registering the donations.

Because of the large number of clothing donations, some employees who came to donate joined the volunteer team on the spot to sort and fold the clothes. Even some male employees who had never sewn before took the initiative to pick up needles and thread to help pack. Volunteer Jiang Zhenmei was one of the busiest people on site. She tirelessly reclassified and refolded the clothes for adults and children. Under her skillful hands, clothes of different styles were quickly folded neatly. “Although it's a bit tiring, it's worth it knowing that these clothes can bring warmth to others,” said Jiang Zhenmei.

After a busy morning, more than 3,000 pieces of warm clothing were collected. All the clothing, after being packed and counted, will be transported to people in impoverished mountainous areas. GuoDa employees, with their love and enthusiasm, added warmth to the coming winter.

The US dollar index rebounded and risk aversion weakened, with gold maintaining high-level volatility.

Although gold prices rose this week, market volatility has clearly increased. While the US-UK agreement is symbolic, its content is limited and insufficient to alleviate concerns about a global economic slowdown. Therefore, gold prices will continue to fluctuate between safe havens and policy signals, closely monitoring the Federal Reserve's interest rate expectations and global trade sentiment.
