National University of Singapore's Safina seeks efficiency through innovation

Guoda Safina Company achieved efficiency through innovation this year, demonstrating an innovative approach in both project construction and process transformation.

Anode slime treatment is a new project launched by the company this year. During equipment installation, they carefully calculated costs and innovatively replaced the reactor's titanium pipes with PP pipes. This significantly reduced production costs, and because PP pipes are lighter, installation and maintenance are extremely convenient. This alone saved the company nearly 300,000 yuan.

The company's anode slime treatment workstation originally planned to install two single-beam cranes, which was relatively expensive. After comparison and demonstration, they installed an electric hoist crane instead. The electric hoist crane is compact, flexible, and moves along an "S" shaped track, making it very suitable for this workstation after installation. It meets production needs while saving the company more than 80,000 yuan.

Guoda Safina Company also demonstrates innovative thinking in the transformation of old processes. The company's scraping equipment, originally imported from Czech Republic, uses "distance difference" control. Its drawback is that if electrolyte accidentally drips on it, it is easily corroded and damaged. Moreover, the speeds of the eight-slot scrapers are inconsistent, rendering them ineffective. Operators had to manually scrape, severely affecting the output and quality of silver sand. After discovering this, maintenance workers diligently researched and boldly innovated, cleverly changing the control from "distance difference" to "time difference." After the modification, the speeds of the eight electrolytic cell scrapers are consistent, corrosion-resistant, and durable. Monthly silver sand production increased by 500 kilograms, increasing the company's economic benefits by more than 17,000 yuan. The quality of the produced silver sand is also better, without any flocculent matter.

Guoda Safina Company's innovation activities are not only reflected in equipment installation and transformation, but even installing a light bulb shows new creativity. They changed the control of light bulbs in the workshop corridors, bathrooms, and changing rooms from switch control to sound control, achieving automatic lights-off when people leave, reducing energy waste.

Innovative activities have become a trend in Guoda Safina Company, and employees' innovative awareness is constantly increasing. They are determined to continuously reform and innovate in their work, seeking greater efficiency through innovation!
